Ned is the son of Margaret “Maggie” (Fortney) and Charles William Beatty. He is married to Sandra Johnson. He has four children with his former wife Walta Chandler; two children with his former wife, actress Belinda Rowley; and two children with his former wife Dorothy Lindsay.
Ned’s paternal grandfather was Cicero Beatty (the son of Miles Marion Beatty and Lydia Berry Conklin). Cicero was born in Kentucky. Miles was the son of John P. Beatty and Elmina McGrew. Lydia was the daughter of David Conklin and Lydia Cunningham.
