Dee Dee Ramone, was an American musician, singer, rapper, and songwriter. He was the bassist for, and a founding member of, punk rock band Ramones. Joey Ramone was also a member of the band. He was also known as Dee Dee King.

Dee Dee was the son of mother Tony and father Glenn Leroy Colvin. Many of his paternal ancestors have been in the U.S. since the 1600s. His mother was said have been German. He was raised partly in West Berlin, West Germany, and then in Forest Hills, Queens. Dee Dee was married to Barbara Ramone Zampini, until his death.

Dee Dee’s paternal grandfather was Walter Roy Colvin (the son of Martilious Colvin and Ellen Jane Dozier). Walter was born in Johnson, Missouri. Martilious was the son of Richard T. Colvin and Nancy Miland Griggs. Dee Dee’s ancestry can be traced back to Josine Boyer, who was born in New Amsterdam, now New York, to Dutch parents.

Dee Dee’s paternal grandmother was Neta Alice White (the daughter of Newton J. White and Lydia Elizabeth Peek). Neta was born in Iowa. Lydia was the daughter of Gustavus Augustus Peek and Nancy M. Peek.
