Andy Biersack is an American singer, songwriter, and pianist. He is the founder and lead vocalist of rock band Black Veil Brides. He is known as Andy Six and Andy Black.

He is married to rock singer, songwriter, and poet Juliet Simms.

Andy’s paternal grandfather is Dennis Biersack (the son of Alois Joseph “Al” Biersack and Evelyn Louis Hanke). Alois was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of Joseph John Biersack, who was of German descent, and of Mary Catherine Haizlsperger, who was a German immigrant. Evelyn was born in Wisconsin, the daughter of John W. Hanke, who was the son of German parents, and of Lillian/Lillie Hoffman, who was of approximately half German and half British descent.

Andy’s paternal grandmother is named Margaret.

Andy’s maternal grandfather was Urban P. Flanders (the son of Cyrus Glenn Flanders and Mary Cecilia Lynskey). Cyrus was born in Iowa, the son of Samuel Howard Flanders and Lillian Nancie Hammett. He had deep lines in the U.S., and was of mostly English descent. Mary was born in Connecticut, the daughter of Irish parents, from Galway, Michael John Lynskey and Brigid Delia Agnes Brett.

Andy’s maternal grandmother is named Anna M. Kock.
