Don Murray is an American actor, best known for his breakout performance in the film “Bus Stop” with Marilyn Monroe, which earned him a nomination for Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
He was the son of Dennis Aloisius Murray and Esthel E. Cook. He was previusly married with the actress Hope Lange, with whom he had two children, Patricia Murray and actor Christopher Murray.
Don’s paternal grandparents were Irish.
Don’s maternal grandfather was Abraham Lincoln Cook (the son of Abraham Cook and Elizabeth Wright). Abraham L. was born in Brooklyn, New York City.
