Brian’s paternal grandfather was Richard George Baumgartner (the son of Friedrich Lawrence “Fred” Baumgartner and Minnie Fischer). Richard was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Fred was a German emigrant, who born in Segelen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, the son of Georg Baumgartner and Lydia Mettenberger. Minnie was born in Sandusky, Erie County, Ohio, the daughter of Frederick C. Fischer and Wilhelmina Schuck.
Brian’s paternal grandmother was Ruth McNeill (the daughter of Claude Herndon McNeill and Pearl F. Wheeler). Pearl was the daughter of Reese Henderson Wheeler and Barthena H. Vandeventer.
